Rules of Contest
RULES OF CONTEST
I. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY and there is no cost to enter. Must be 18 years or older. The contest is open to US residents only.
II. HOW TO ENTER: Complete the starting digital enrollment form at any one of the 18 Carolina Harley-Davidson Dealers Association (CHDDA) member Dealerships between June 1st, 2024 and December 20th, 2024. Only one entry form per owner and per bike. Owner whose name is on the digital enrollment form must be present at enrollment and at each Dealership visit. You may be asked for a photo ID at the Dealership to obtain Dealership keyword. Dealer will require a completed form filled out on the digital enrollment form. The motorcycle to be ridden must also be present at the starting digital enrollment form fill and signed off by Dealership staff by filling in the corresponding keyword.
The entrant will be entered into each of the following two categories - 1) Age - 18-30, 31-45, 46-60, 61+ and 2) Gender - Male, Female. All category classification decisions are determined by the Dealership at time of enrollment. No facsimiles, or mechanical reproductions of enrollment / participation form will be accepted. The ending digital enrollment must be completed with final mileage verified at a member Dealership and signed off by Dealership employee by filling in the corresponding keyword. It is the participant’s sole responsibility to ensure the ending digital enrollment is completed no later than December 20th, 2024. Digital Enrollment forms, Dealership keywords, and mileage will be verified for authenticity against Dealership Visit verification lists. The CHDDA may disqualify or prohibit a participant from participating for any reason at the CHDDA’s sole discretion and without notice.
III. MILEAGE TABULATION AND RANDOM DRAWING: The mileage will be calculated based on the verified beginning and ending mileage on all authenticated and properly completed enrollment / participation forms received by no later then 12/20/2024 for each of the categories. Additionally, each participant that visited 14 or more of the member Dealerships during the contest period regardless of mileage and who properly verified each visit on their enrollment / participation form will be included in the random drawing for the custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle. CHDDA will conduct the drawing and tabulate participant’s mileage. The decisions of the CHDDA will be final. Winners will be notified by telephone or mail and posted on www.CHDDA.com by December 22nd, 2024. Prizes must be picked up with-in thirty (30) days of winning. Winner is responsible for claiming the prize with-in the thirty (30) days provided. Failure to claim the prize with-in the thirty (30) days provided shall result in forfeiture of the prize. Proper identification (valid driver’s license, passport, state ID, or Military ID) will be required to claim prize. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the CHDDA’s decisions.
IV. PRIZES, ODDS OF WINNING: One (1) Grand prize, a New Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic motorcycle (approximate retail value $22,499.00) will be awarded based on the number of qualifying entries / keywords completed during the contest during the contest period, and completed no later than 12/20/2024. The person whose name is drawn for the grand prize is solely responsible for all expenses associated with registering, claiming, and using the vehicle, including but not limited to all taxes, registration, titling, licensing and insurance. Bike to be picked up at the participating member Dealership of the winner’s choice.
The following prizes will be awarded to the top 2 person’s in each of the categories that accumulate the highest amount of mileage per the contest rules. First place winner in each of the categories will receive a $500.00 gift certificate to the member Dealership of their choice. Second place winners in each of the categories will receive a $300.00 gift certificate to the member Dealership of their choice. The gift certificates must be redeemed for merchandise or services, there is no cash redemption value. Participants are eligible to win one (1) prize only. The Grand prize winner will forfeit eligibility for any of the mileage prizes regardless of mileage accumulated. Odds of winning dependent upon the number of qualifying entries received.
V. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: CHDDA and its members are not responsible for, incomplete, late, lost, delayed, misdirected, unintelligible, or for hardware, software, electronic network, or other computer malfunction, failure, or difficulty of any kind. Entries (digital enrollment forms) become the property of the CHDDA and any of the 18 Carolina Harley-Davidson Dealers Association (CHDDA) member Dealerships. All prizes are nontransferable and are void where prohibited by law. No substitution or cash equivalents of prizes, except at the sole discretion of the CHDDA due to unavailability for any reason and only then for a prize of equal or greater value. Prize may not be assigned or transferred. Winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and a publicity release (where permitted by law) within fourteen (14) days of receipt of prize notification. Winner may also be required to sign applicable forms required by tax authorities, and other documentation. In the event that all required documents are not executed and returned within the prescribed period, winner may be disqualified, and prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. Winner will be solely responsible for all applicable taxes associated with prize.
VI. RELEASE: By participating, entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the CHDDA, its respective directors, officers, employees, agents and all member Dealerships, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents, from any and all liability arising from participation and/or the acceptance, possession, or use (or misuse) of the Grand Prize or other prizes. The CHDDA shall have no liability for the use, operation, or condition of any prizes. The CHDDA specifically disclaims any warranties, express or implied, with respect to the use, operation, or condition of any prize awarded in the connection with this contest.
VII. PUBLICITY: Where legal, winners shall grant CHDDA the right to the use of his/her name, address, photograph, videotape or any likeness in advertising or publicity purposes, and any and all rights to said use shall be without
compensation.
VIII. INELIGIBILITY: Persons in any of the following categories are not eligible to participate or win any prize: Officers and Directors (and their immediate family members) of CHDDA: Owners, Officers, and employees (and their immediate family members) of all CHDDA member Dealerships.
IX. WINNER LIST: The name of the Grand Prize Winner, and each mileage winner will be posted on or before December 22, 2024 at www.CHDDA.com or by email.
